Night Soil

We stay away from composting human manure. (No safe place for it on an urban farm) But I know some folks that swear by it as a great way to create more compost for plants and keep waste out of the waste streamline.

Easy Outdoor Compost Bin

Many of you have asked what our favorite outdoor traditional composting bin is. Honesty, we still love our handmade one made out of upcycled palettes.

It is easy to turn and gets more air than our other plastic versions. Here is a simple video I found that will show how to get one set up one this fall. Then you can make some beautiful compost this winter for your spring garden. It will be here before you know it!

BTW, most companies will give you theirs because they have to pay to

have them hauled away!
