One World, One Heart Giveaway!

The 2010 One World One Heart Blog giveaway has started!
I thought it would be fun to switch it up a bit and participate!
This year I am giving away One pound of Worm Castings!
What are Worm Castings good for you ask? You know after looking at all this snow you are dreaming of what to put in your garden! Worm Castings make an incredible natural fertilizer for your seedlings and when planting.

I am chomping at the bit to start gardening this Spring. In NJ, we have to wait until at least March, but have a community plot and a backyard veggie garden..it is our happiness. Never heard of worm castings but would love to try it.

This is such a good idea. A really innovative and environmentally friendly give away, and a really good start to International Year of bio Diversity! I'd love one. But, i also have doubts about whether they ould survive a long distance mail? Maybe if that is not such a good idea then we could think of a nature reserve or community allotments near you that would be a better home for them?

Oh now... how cool is this? We were just talking about gardening last night. I'm finally planning for my very first garden (at almost 50!) and these would certainly give me a leg up on it.

As a kid growing up, my dad had a "worm bed" for helping mama fertilize the veggies! This would be such a great prize! Worms don't live well in Alaska so haven't used worm castings in ages! What a great prize! Thanks for the chance to win!
